Inktober 17 – Day 12

Physical reference provided courtesy of my toddler. I thought today’s drawing would be a good time to test out my ability to use two-point perspective. I know it would be much cleaner if I used a ruler, but I’ve been following Jake Parker’s advice and trying to do all lines by hand. I also learned Copics will lock in Col-Erase pencils if you forget to erase them before you use the marker…

Today’s Prompt: shattered

Inktober 17 – Day 11

I’m not feeling well tonight, so just a quick sketch. Nothing special, but I did decide to use my Copic’s since I haven’t used them much.

Today’s Prompt: Run

Inktober 17 – Day 10

I was originally thinking I’d draw a Megalodon for today’s “gigantic” prompt, but I’m glad I decided to change my perspective. This isn’t perfect at all, but I’m really proud of this one. it was fun trying to simulate fur. I could have gone over the fur more to give it a little more variety. I did test adding texture to the eye, but I could never find a technique I liked that didn’t decrease the contrast too much. Today’s Prompt: Gigantic
