The Magic Bullet

Well, it’s finally happened…I’ve been suckered into ordering something off of TV. A while back, I saw an infomercial for the “Magic Bullet”, a little blender, chopper, juicer, grinder thing. It looks like it would be really handy for a single college guy like me since it does a good job (and the online reviews mostly agree) but only when you need small quantities of stuff. Hopefully it’ll help me eat at home more instead of eating fast food 2 – 3 times a day. I don’t have a lot of kitchen appliances (George Foreman grill, toaser, microwave, and coffee/espresso maker is about it) so I can’t do much that requires blending and chopping, plus, I don’t have any good knives and such and lemme tell you, chopping garlic with a steak knife just doesn’t work that great (I love Alfredo sauce and plenty of garlic…takes me like 5 minutes to get my garlic ready :)).

Anyway, I got suckered into this one because HSN.com has a today’s special price on the thing…it’s 1/2 of what the infomercial price was + it comes with a lot more stuff (I think it was $20-$40 extra for the stuff if you got it through the infomercial). Additionally, Comcast Cable sent a $15 off code for HSN.com with this month’s bill, so I really couldn’t resist…but at least it wasn’t totally an impulse buy since I had seen it before. I even told my mom I would like to have one if they weren’t so expensive (that was like 6 months ago). It should be here by the middle of next month… Now I just hope it works at least half as good as it looks on TV. 😉 Anyone on here have one of these things?
